Is it time for everyone to learn how to code? Well, almost 200,000 people think so and have already signed up to learn to program JavaScript in 2012, using the U.S. website Code Year.

Project & Freelance experts OfficeCavalry have published a report showing that 3 in 4 small firms intend to spend more time social networking' in 2011, in an attempt to boost sales.

From March 1st, the Advertising Standards Agency will extend its remit to monitor business's marketing materials on websites and social media platforms. They are advising businesses to review their content now so as not to be caught out.

Specifically, marketing materials published on websites or used on social media platforms will have to comply with the non-broadcast advertising rules set out in the Committee of Advertising Practice (CAP) code.
